Ashley
Hygienist
Ashley is originally from Sylacauga, AL. After graduating from Auburn University in 2007 with a Business degree she did a lot of traveling and lived in various cities including Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Puerto Pinasco, Mexico. In 2017 she decided to come back to her home state and follow a different career path. She first worked as a dental assistant where she fell in love with dentistry and decided to pursue a career in hygiene through the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program. Ashley lives with her husband and their daughter in Vestavia. In her free time she still loves to travel with her family.“My favorite part of dentistry is meeting new people and helping patients attain a smile they love!”
Jeannie
Hygienist
Jeannie is from Columbus Mississippi and moved to Birmingham in her teen years. She received her dental hygienist license in 1982. Jeannie has been with Doug Lewis Dentistry for 3 years. She has experience in dental assisting, as well as front desk reception, however her heart belongs in hygiene! When she is not in the office you can find her spending time with her husband, daughter and 5-year-old grandson who is her heartbeat! She enjoys walking the track, playing tennis and spending time with her family.“My favorite part of dentistry would be when patients comment that their teeth feel great after their cleaning!”
Heather
Assistant
Heather is from Birmingham AL, and she received her dental assisting license in 2016. Heather has been with Doug Lewis Dentistry for 5 years. When Heather is not at the office, she enjoys doing DIY’s, spending time with her husband, family, friends and two fur-babies Lennon and Covie.“As someone who has had bad dental experiences in the past my favorite part of my job is helping patients overcome their dental fears, putting them at ease, looking forward to coming to appointments, and making dental visits fun!”
Chanel
Assistant
Chanel is from Birmingham AL, she received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Samford University and later went on to pursue a background in dentistry.
In her down time she enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.
“I love dentistry because I have a passion for working with people, in which, I believe providing empathy is a very important aspect. Dentistry allows me to do that!”
Mandy
Office Manager
Mandy is from Jasper, Alabama. She has been in the dental field almost 40 years and has been with Dr. Lewis since 2005. She is fully trained to assist you in multiple aspects in the dental office including coordinating treatment plans/insurance claims and assisting Dr. Lewis. Mandy and her husband Thelan now live in Homewood, AL. She has two daughters as well as two grandsons. In her spare time, she can be found watching American Idol or discussing her dog Gracie’s day at daycare.“My favorite part about dentistry is the ability to connect with patients and brighten not only their day, but also their smile.
